Airbrush Tan - The tan experts.
                    What is an Airbrush tan?

Basically, airbrush tanning is defined as the new and safe way to achieve a golden look; this is a procedure that involves an airbrush gun used to apply a clear liquid containing dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to the body.
DHA is an ingredient used for cosmetic applications that reacts with the amino acids in the outer layer of the skin. This works by interacting with the dead surface cells found in the outermost layer of the skin; this then produces color change. Naturally, the dead cells on your skin will wear off and its color gradually fades away, giving you a tan that is almost like a genuine sun tan. Tanning using an airbrush tan usually lasts 5 to 10 days depending on your skin type and the lifestyle you have.
Many people who want to have a perfect tan nowadays opt for airbrush tan due to its unique sunless tanning system; besides, having an airbrush tan will only make you wait for a fraction of time than what it takes using the old method of applying tanning lotions.

FAQ

Why get an Airbrush Tan?
-Airbrush Tanning delivers a smart, natural looking tan without the sun! Our highly effective formula is organic, fast acting, and long lasting. Get a Tan before your next big event and all your friends will  ask, "where did you get that great tan?" Airbrush tanning, plain and simple, is the smart alternative to the sun/UV rays exposure  – we all know the dangers associated with UV rays!

How long does the tan last?
-It lasts about 4-14 days. Hydration and Moisturizing the skin are both vital to your tan's longevity. I have extremely dry skin and it lasts about 10 days for me. I can’t stress enough: use water and lotion. Also, buy a natural soap/bodywash from an organic outlet such as Whole Foods; those products are easy on your skin and the tan lasts longer.

How long does it take to be airbrushed?
-Application takes about 20 minutes.

How long before I can take a shower?
DHA needs anywhere from 6-12 hours to set up properly and reacts with the skin to give you the results that you desire. We generally recommend that you wait at least 8-12 hours before showering.

Does your product have any sunscreen?
-No! Just because you look extremely tanned does not mean you are protected. Our solution does not have SPF in it. You can sunburn if you do not apply sunscreen over your UV Free Tan (after the recommended time). Besides sunscreen is a great moisturizer!

Should I moisturize my skin before or after I get sprayed?
-You should be moisturizing your skin at least once per day with a high quality lotion. Lotions with ZERO ALCOHOL content are the best. This will slow the exfoliation rate thus extend the life of your tan.
You should not apply moisturizer directly before your session, apply at least 2-4 hours before, and avoid barrier lotions that contain coco or shea butter. These lotions could impede the penetration of the solution into the skin. Also do not apply deodorant, foundation makeup, or oily products prior to your session.
You should not apply moisturizer for at least 8 hours after being sprayed; this could cause it to streak. We recommend after your first shower.

Will the swimming pool or hot-tub fade my tan faster?
-Chlorine has a tendency to fade spray tan faster. Don’t forget to MOISTURIZE!!! Many swimming pools are using salt for filtration these days and will not affect your tan, but hot tubs will cause a tan to fade faster.

Why did the solution wash off in the shower?
-Cosmetic bronzers are temporary bronzers that give you immediate color. The cosmetic bronzer allows us to see how the product is being applied. The real color is the result of the DHA reacting with the proteins in your skin. The real tan develops behind the cosmetic bronzers in 6-12 hours. It is the bronzers you will see washing off in the first shower, the lasting color is what is left behind.

Will it rub off on my clothes or bed sheets?
-There is a very good chance of the cosmetic bronzers coming off on clothing and bed sheets. This should wash out very easily, however, we always recommend that the client wear darker colored older loose fitting clothes. There are some fabrics such as silk that this may not wash out of, so caution is always recommended.

Is airbrush tanning safe, and can pregnant or nursing mothers get a tan?
-DHA has been used as a cosmetic ingredient in the United States since 1960 and no problems have ever been reported concerning DHA penetrating the skin, or causing problems during pregnancy.  DHA only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. In an effort to increase the rarity of a reaction, I have committed to only using an organic solution, free of artificial preservatives and ingredients. However, if you are still concerned consult your physician first.

Can I spray tan and UV Tan in a tanning bed?
-Absolutely! UV Free tanning looks great over a base tan and gives the customer better color than they have ever experienced, especially for people that tan redder normally. We recommend tanning in the bed the day before or the day after your airbrush tan. Just remember your airbrush tan will not protect you from being burnt.
